Create Direct Intercompany Netting Transaction Groups
- Configure theDirect Intercompany Netting Transaction Group Eventbusiness process and security in the Customer Accounts and Supplier Accounts functional areas.
You can create transaction groups for direct intercompany netting on multicurrency invoices. When you create a group, Workday:
- Groups eligible multicurrency invoices based on the direct intercompany netting rules you've configured.
- Automatically selects the eligible invoices from both the initiating and netting companies.
- Displays invoice amounts in the invoice currency and the reference currency.
- Initiates a business process to route the group for approval.
- Access theCreate Direct Intercompany Netting Transaction Grouptask.
- Complete the task:
Option Description Initiating CompanySelect an initiating company you have access to that has direct intercompany netting rules set up.Intercompany Netting RuleOnce you select the initiating company, you can select 1 of its associated netting rules.Netting CompanyWhen the selected rule contains only 1 other company, Workday automatically populates this prompt.Search InvoicesClick to search for the available supplier and customer invoices.On theInitiating Company Invoicestab, Workday- Automatically selects all eligible invoices.
- Displays invoice amounts due and amounts to net in the invoice currency.
- Populates invoice amounts due and amounts to net in the reference currency.
On theNetting Company Invoicestab, Workday preselects the paired direct intercompany invoices from the netting company.Workday limits direct intercompany transaction groups to a maximum of 2,000 customer invoices and 2,000 supplier invoices for each company in the group.Update AmountsClick to recalculate the amounts to net on all selected invoices when the invoice amounts change. - ClickSubmit.
Workday:
- Initiates a business process to route the netting transaction group for approval.
- Creates 1 netting transaction for each company in the group with its own operational journal.
- Processes relevant payment applications.
- Workday carries forward any excess amount in the next settlement run for the company and processes it as a regular payment.
- You can cancel all eligible netting groups, but you can't cancel individual netting transactions.
