FAQ: Effort Certifications

Why does the Recertify Effort Certifications task produce more (or fewer) obsolete records than expected?
To ensure that
Run Effort Recertifications
 correctly marks the efforts that need to be recertified, ensure that you access the task as the same person or with the same security access as the person who initially ran
Run Effort Certification
 for the same efforts. When you recertify efforts as a different user from the user who initiated the effort certification, Workday might incorrectly identify efforts as needing to be recertified due to the difference in what you're authorized to access.
Why doesn't the Run Effort Certification task pick up my payroll costing allocations?
Ensure that you:
  • Add the grant worktag to the payroll costing allocations for the employee.
  • Include the employee in the population specified on the employee eligibility rules.
  • Specify the grant worktag in the
    Payroll Actual Costed To
     section on the effort certification type. If you specify a grant hierarchy worktag, ensure that you add the grant on the employee payroll costing allocations to the grant hierarchy.
Why doesn't Workday initiate a payroll accounting adjustment when I change the effort during a review of an effort certification?
