Subscribe to Release Notes

Subscribe to Release Notes

To stay informed about publications, updates, and changes that might impact your tenant, you can subscribe to release notes.
If you have posted a question on a specific release note, you can go to the
Get Updates
section on the release note and click
Subscribe
to receive notifications for answers.
  1. Go to Manage Subscriptions in Workday Community.
  2. Click
    Go to Add Subscription
    .
    From the tag fields, you can select up to 3 tags for each subscription.
  3. From the
    Content Type Tag
    prompt, select
    Release Note
    . This subscribes you to email notifications whenever Workday publishes release notes to the Release Center.
  4. (Optional) From the
    Product Tag
    prompt, select:
    1. The Product Line (top level) if it has no other levels. Configure a subscription for each product area for which you need to receive email updates. If you select a Product Line and it has secondary entries, you won't receive any notifications unless you select the secondary entries.
    2. The Product Area (secondary level) if there are secondary entries. Configure a subscription for each product area in which you need to receive email updates.
  5. (Optional) Customize your subscription with additional filters from the
    Release Notes Tag
    prompt.
    Subscribe to each item for which you need updates. See examples in the
    Examples
    section.

    • Reversion

    Receive notifications for release notes that have change logs.
    Impact
    Fix release notes that require some kind of action for data correction.

    Subscribe

The new subscription displays in the
Edit Subscription
grid.
Example 1: Subscribe to Updates for Coming Soon Release Notes for a Product Area
This example demonstrates how to create a Community subscription for 2026R1 Coming Soon release notes for a product area.
  1. Go to Manage Subscriptions in Workday Community.
  2. Click
    Go to Add Subscription
    .
  3. From the
    Product Tag
    prompt, select
    Adaptive Planning
    .
  4. From the
    Release Tag
    prompt, select
    2026R1
    .
  5. From the
    Release Notes Tag

This example demonstrates how to subscribe to Fix release notes for a product area.
  1. Go to Manage Subscriptions in Workday Community.

This example demonstrates how to subscribe to Retirement release notes for a product area.
