Evaluate Sheet Performance

Security:
Planning Center
permission.
Planning Center is not available to customers in Singapore at this time.
As an administrator optimizing your model, you can use the Planning Center to evaluate the performance of all accounts on your sheet. This enables you to identify which accounts you need to troubleshoot for faster sheet loads.
You can use this page to select which versions, level, and sheet to evaluate. When you evaluate a sheet, we provide you with a downloadable spreadsheet with this information:
  • Account code for each child account. We only display rows for child accounts because parent accounts are only empty containers for child accounts, which hold the data.
  • Evaluation time for each account in seconds.
The time that it takes for Adaptive Planning to generate the spreadsheet mimics the time it takes for you to load that sheet at its current:
  • Cache state. Is the cache cold because this is the first time in this session that you asked Adaptive Planning to look at this sheet? Is the cache warm because you already looked at the sheet once in this session?
  • Performance level.
These actions share the same cache:
  • Opening the sheet directly. Example: Open the sheet by selecting
    Sheets
    in the main menu.
  • Evaluating the sheet performance in the Planning Center.
If your cache is cold, the evaluation times on the spreadsheet reflect the times it takes to load your sheet for the first time. If your cache is warm, the evaluation times on the spreadsheet reflect those faster load times.

    You can select either:
    • Your root version to include all versions.

    • A child level.
    Sheet
We only display the first 50 sheets in your instance according to the order of the sheets that you configure in
    Model Management
    .
To select sheets not currently displayed on this option list, reorder your sheets in
    Model Management
. To reorder your sheets, use the Move icons in either:
    • Level Assigned Sheets
    • User Assigned Sheets
  5. Click

Depending on how long it takes to generate the spreadsheet, you might need to wait to receive the spreadsheet.
When we display 0 as the evaluation time for an account, that means that account:
  • Is fully cached at this moment.
  • Requires no further calculations that take up time.
