Create Schedules

  • Shared matrix or model reports
  • Security:
    • Create Shared Reports
       permission
    • Create Report Schedules
       permission
    • Send Notifications
       permission. You need this permission only if you want to notify other people besides you.
From the shared or favorite report folders, you can schedule:
  • Matrix and model report snapshots with optional notifications.
  • Live matrix and model report notifications.
All notifications include links to existing live or snapshot reports. 
The scheduled snapshots display data based on the access of the schedule creator and not the recipient.
You can create a maximum of:
  • 100 schedules per instance.
  • Twenty concurrent schedules to run at the same time.
  1. Select
    Reports
     from the main menu.
  2. From the
    Shared
    folders, click the
    Actions menu
      (3 vertical dots) for a matrix or model report and select
    Create Schedule
    .
  3. Specify the schedule details such as name, cadence, and time. Select an end date to expire your schedule and minimize unused schedules.
    Adaptive Planning populates these values:
    • The report name prefixed with "Schedule -".
    • Your local time zone.
  4. For
    Action
    , select either of these options and click
    Next
    .
    • Create Snapshot
    • Send Live Report Notification
  5. (Optional) If you selected the
    Create Snapshot
     option, specify the snapshot details. As you complete the task, consider:

    To
    Specify the recipients (users, groups, or levels) for the scheduled snapshot report. If you don’t specify any recipients, only the scheduler has access to the report snapshot.
    Snapshot Name
    Specify the name of the scheduled snapshot report.
    Default Output
    Select the format for viewing the report.
    Level Parameter Options
    If the report includes level parameters, select this option to include all levels up to a maximum of 500 from the live report into the snapshot.
    Contains Salary Info
    Select the option to enable users to view the scheduled snapshot report only if they have the
    Access Salary Detail
     permission.
    Save In
    Select the shared folder where you want to save the scheduled snapshot report.
    Notify
    Select the option to notify the specified recipients and direct them to the results of the report content. If you don’t notify, the snapshot report becomes available from the shared folder location you specify.
    Message
    If you want to notify people, specify a message to include in the notification for the scheduled snapshot recipients.
  6. (Optional) If you selected the
    Send Live Report Notification
     option, select the recipients and specify a message for the notification.
  7. Click
    Save
    to save the schedule.
