Add OfficeConnect Tenants (Adaptive Planning)

  • Download the latest version of OfficeConnect. See Product Downloads.
  • Work with your IT administrator to obtain these details for each tenant:
    • API endpoint URL
    • Authorization endpoint URL
  • Security: Access OfficeConnect permission
If your instance uses non-US based, regional authentication, then your authorization URLs and API endpoints vary based on your region. See Reference: Regional Authentication URLs.
You can create tenants in OfficeConnect. The next time you sign in, the sign-in page displays for the tenant that you last connected to.
  1. Start Excel and select
    OfficeConnect
     in the ribbon.
  2. Click
    Log In
    .
  3. Click
    Set Up Tenants
    .
  4. Specify and save the tenant details. As you complete the task, consider:

    Name
    The name of the Adaptive Planning tenant you're connecting to. Example: Production tenant or Sandbox tenant.
    API endpoint URL
    The API endpoint URL for the tenant.
    Authorization endpoint URL
    The authorization endpoint URL for the tenant.
    After you successfully connect to a tenant, the Adaptive Planning sign-in page displays. The saved tenant name displays in a drop-down list in the Log In window.
  5. (Optional) Use the
    Manage Tenants
     option from the drop-down list to add other tenants. You can edit or delete existing tenants from the list.
  6. (Optional) Select another tenant name from the drop-down list to access a different Adaptive Planning tenant.
  7. (Optional) Change the
    Connection
     user setting in OfficeConnect to enable users to select a tenant when they sign in. This is useful when your identity provider automatically signs you in.
Your organization can use multiple Adaptive Planning instances, some that integrate with Workday and others that are standalone.
Example:
  • An Adaptive Planning sandbox instance connects to Workday
  • An Adaptive Planning production instance is standalone.
On a standalone instance, you can continue to sign in to OfficeConnect with your Adaptive Planning credentials. Depending on your last successful sign-in, if you see the:
  • Workday sign-in page, click
    Log in with Adaptive Planning
     to sign in to an instance that is standalone.
  • Adaptive Planning sign-in page, click
    Log in with Workday
     to sign in to an instance that connects to Workday. See Add OfficeConnect Tenants (Workday)
