Remove Dimension Value Tags from Levels

Security: Organization Structure permission.
You might have many reasons to remove dimension tags from levels. 1 reason could be that you want to delete a custom dimension that is in use. Dependencies in the
Level Dimensions
 tab of the
View Dependencies
 table means that the dimension value tags levels. To delete the dimension value or the dimension, you must first remove the association from the levels.
  1. Select
    Modeling
     from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Levels
    .
  3. From the level list, select the level.
    When you're resolving dependencies for dimension values, select the same level indicated in the
    Level Dimension
     tab.
  4. From the
    Level Dimensions
     section of the settings, select a different dimension value from the dimension prompt or clear the selection.
  5. Save.
When you're resolving dependencies, you can continue to resolve the other dependencies. When level dimensions are the only dependency, you can delete the dimension value. See Resolve View Dependencies to Delete Dimension Values.
