Install OfficeConnect as an End User

Install OfficeConnect as an End User

Verify you've installed these required software on your machine:
  • WebView2 Runtime
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8
  • VSTO 2010
  • Workday Event Log Components
  • If you have administrative rights on your machine, you can install the per-user version of OfficeConnect, which also installs the prerequisites as part of the install process.
  • If you don’t have administrative rights on your machine, contact your IT administrator to install the prerequisites before installing the per-user version of OfficeConnect.
To create reports in MS Excel, Word, or PowerPoint, install OfficeConnect. As an end user, you can install the product on your local machine. If you don't have administrative permissions, contact your IT department representatives for assistance. Make sure your whole team downloads and installs new versions at the same time. Team members using older versions can't view or change your reports.
  1. Download and install the latest version of OfficeConnect using the per-user installation setup file: OfficeConnectSetup.exe.
  2. If you have administrative permissions, accept the Windows elevation prompt and run the installation.
This step is applicable only if you're installing OfficeConnect without completing the prerequisites.
The OfficeConnect tab displays in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Start Excel and open a workbook. You see the OfficeConnect tab in the Excel ribbon.
Sign in to OfficeConnect from Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
