Run Audit Trail Reports

Run Audit Trail Reports

  • Turn on Audit Trail for Versions.
  • Security:
    System Audit Access
     permission and either the
    Access Reports
     or
    Access Sheets
     permission.
If your instance doesn't use access rules, you don't need the
System Audit Access
 permission.
Audit trail reports enable you to review all changes made to the data in a version. You can filter on time range, accounts, levels, and users.
With the
Access Sheet
permission, you can run audit trails from the
Sheets Overview
. With the
Access Report
 permission, you can run audit trail reports from the
Reports Overview
.
  1. From the nav menu, go to
    Reports
    .
  2. From the left panel of
    Reports
    , click
    Add New
     and select
    Audit Trail Search
    .
  3. From the versions prompt, select a version to search the audit trail in this version.
  4. As you complete a basic search, consider:
    Opção Descrição
    Location of Change
    Returns all changes made to the levels you select. Type part or all of the level name in the search field.
    We recommend that you select a few levels that you want to report on. Else, if you select nothing or everything, the report returns all changes made to all levels.
    Time of Change
    Returns all changes made within the date and time range you define. Click the calendar icon to select the beginning and end of the time range you want to search. Or, you can enter a date and time manually in the format

    Rows Per Page
    Indicates the number of results you want shown per page.
  5. (Optional) Click
    Switch to Advanced Search
    .
    The advanced search provides additional parameters to find specific changes.
  6. Click
    Search Audit Trail
    .
The
Results
 page is the same for both basic and advanced audit trail search. Audit trail data processes asynchronously to increase the performance of large data import transactions. During these large transactions of data, the most recent value changes may not be reflected immediately in Audit Trail reports.
If you see a magnifying glass next to a change, click it to open
Explore Cell
 and drill down to the cell containing the change.
You can click
Printable View
 to download the results to a spreadsheet.
Audit trail reports support a maximum of 50,000 rows for printable views. Filter results below 50,000 rows to export a printable view.
