Change Cube Sheet View

For cube sheets and cube sheets on dashboards, you can:
  • Filter timespan.
  • Suppress zeros and blanks.
  • Display alternate calendars.
  • Swap the rows, columns, and filters.
  • Hide selected dimensions and attributes.
  • Filter by dimension or attribute.
  • Expand and collapse rows.
On cube sheets, time, accounts, any custom dimensions, and attributes are dimensions. They display as:
  • Drop-down filters above the sheet.
  • Across the columns.
  • Down the left side of the sheet. Multiple dimensions and attributes can nest within the rows.
Use the filters to:
  • Filter related filters.
  • Filter rows.
  • Find unlocked cells. Select a leaf-level dimension from each filter to change data.
When you save the sheet, the changes you made save as your preferred view. You can revert to the original default view at any time. For sheets on dashboards, the view reverts to the default set by the owner. From sheets, it reverts to the admin default.
  1. (Optional) Click
    Swap Columns and Rows
    .
    Example: If you have time across the columns and accounts down the rows, click the
    Swap Columns and Rows
    button to use account for columns and time as rows.
  2. (Optional) Drag and drop a dimension or attribute from the top of cube sheets.
    You can drag items into:
    • The first column of any row to replace the current row dimension. You can also replace any nested dimensions in the rows.
    • The header row of any column to replace the column dimension.
  3. (Optional) From the toolbar, click
    Change Dimensions
    .
    As you select dimensions for the columns and rows, they become unavailable in the
    Filters
    section.
  4. (Optional) As you complete the
    Change Dimensions
    dialogue, consider:
    Opção Descrição

    Select a dimension or attribute.
    Rows
    Select a dimension or attribute.
    You can select more dimensions in the additional nested row prompts.
    Filters
    Select values from each available dimension to filter the sheet.
  5. (Optional) Select options on the drop-down menus above the sheet to filter:
    • Related filters.
    • Rows.
    You can also use filters to find unlocked cells. Select a leaf-level dimension from each filter to change data.
  6. (Optional) Select
    Display Options
    to configure:
    Option
    Description
    Time
    tab
    Select which calendar and time range to display.
    We display a tab for each dimension on your cube sheet.
    Select which dimension values to display.
    Hide Row Totals
    tab
    Select the dimensions for which you want to hide row totals in the default sheet view.
    Suppress rows if all zeros or blank
    Select to hide rows with all zeros or are otherwise blank.
    Set as default for all users
    Select to set this sheet view as the default view for all users when they first open the sheet or create the sheet in dashboards.
  7. (Optional) To save your filter selections, change the display options or the data to activate the
    Save
    button.
Your business is a store that sells clothes. On your cube sheet, you want to filter:
  • Attributes in rows by dimensions.
  • Dimensions in columns by attribute.
  • Related filters.
In your model, you have a dimension called Product. Product has a dimension attribute called Group. Group categorizes the products. Each product dimension is tagged with an attribute.

Filter Attributes in Rows by Dimensions
Filter the Tops group attribute rows to only display T-shirts product dimension data.
  1. From the toolbar, click
    Change Dimensions
    .
  2. In the
    Columns and Rows
    section, select:
    • Accounts
      on the
      Columns
      prompt.
    • Group
      from the first
      Rows
      prompt.
  3. From the
    Product
    filter, select
    T-shirts
    .
Filter Dimensions in Columns by Attribute
Filter the Product dimension columns by the Accessories group attribute.
  1. From the toolbar, click
    Change Dimensions
    .
  2. For
    Column
    , select
    Product
    .
  3. Click
    OK
    . The columns include all the products.
  4. From the
    Group
    drop-down filter, select
    Accessories
    .
Filter Related Filters
Filter the available dimensions in the Product filter by the Tops group attribute.
  1. From the toolbar, click
    Change Dimensions
    .
  2. In the
    Columns and Rows
    section, select:
    • Time
      on the
      Columns
      prompt.
    • Accounts
      from the first
      Rows
      prompt.
    These selections enable you to use Group attribute and Product dimension as filters.
  3. Click
    OK
    .
  4. Select
    Tops
    from the
    Group
    attribute filter.
