Change the Trading Partner Label

The Trading Partner label is an account and level setting for intercompany eliminations. It's also either an account attribute or a custom dimension, depending on your elimination method. The setting is available when your instance uses consolidation.
By default the label is
Trading Partner
, but you can change it.

Prerequisites

  • Changing the trading partner label is an optional step when you set up intercompany eliminations. See .
  • Security:
    General Setup
    permission.

    General Setup
    .
  3. In the
    Setup Details
section, enter a name in the
    Trading Partner Label
     field.

Results

The label displays in different places for the different elimination methods.
  • Level settings: For both the splits method and the attribute method, the trading partner label displays in the level settings. For splits, this setting creates a dimension value that matches the level name. For attributes, this setting creates an account attribute that matches the level name.
  • For the attribute method: The trading partner label also displays as an account setting after you select the
    Intercompany
radio button. From the dropdown, you select the attribute value that matches the trading partner level.
It also displays as an account attribute you can use to build reports.
  • For the splits method: A dimension uses the trading partner label. When you're building reports and sheets, go to
