Add Splits in Modeled Sheets
- Identity your sheet as a modeled sheet. See Concept: Sheet Types.
- Your administrator enables splits on your modeled sheet.
- Accounts must be periodic. If accounts are periodic, the value in any given time period equals the net activity for that period. See Concept: Type Setting for Accounts.
- To add splits on a scenario version, create a scenario version inModel Management.
- Ensure that you have access to any versions or scenario versions where you want to change data.
- Security:
- Editable Sheet Accesspermission.
- To create dimension values directly on the sheet for new splits, configure access to theEdit Dimension on Sheetpermission.
You can use splits break down data in further categories, such as departments or accounts.
Disabled for modeled sheets managed by the workforce planning configuration manager.
When you add splits, your row cells might be either locked or unlocked copies of the parent row depending on conditions like:
- Your permissions.
- Your display settings.
- Which accounts are on your sheets.
When you delete a row with splits, you also delete all of the splits for that row.
Example: In a personnel sheet, an employee splits their time between departments. You can split the employee record to allocate the resource by department.
- (Optional) To propose changes to the base data using a scenario version, from the version prompt, select the base version to expand it.
- (Optional) Select the scenario version that’s nested inside the base version.
- Right-click on a row cell or any existing splits and selectSplit Row.
Add data on each unlocked cell of your new rows.
To delete splits for actuals versions, erase the underlying actuals data.
