Example: Secure Dimensions for Access Rules

Secure dimensions so that you can use them to create access rules.
To create different access for 6 different users, you must secure the dimensions to make them available for access rules. Your company wants to secure accounts, levels, and the custom dimensions called Product. Adaptive Planning automatically secures levels. Add Product and accounts yourself. After you secure the dimensions, you can grant access to the specific levels, accounts, and dimension values for your 6 different users.
Security:
Users
 permission.
  1. Select
    Administration
     from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Access Rules
    .
  3. From the toolbar, click
    Manage
    .
  4. Select
    Accounts
     and
    Product
     from the list.
  5. Click
    Done
    .
The access rule table now displays a grant and grant all except column for:
  • Levels
  • Accounts
  • Product
