Add Attribute Columns to Modeled Sheets
- Security:Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulaspermission.
You can add level and custom dimension attributes to modeled sheets as columns.
Attribute
columns provide drop-down menus in the cells. Users can select attribute values from the drop-down options. You can set up the attribute so that they filter the sheet. When users select the attribute value, the sheet filters out any levels or custom dimension values that aren't tagged with the attribute. The filter works in reverse as well. Example. You have an attribute called Product Group
that tags the Product Dimension
value. The Sweaters
and T-Shirt
product dimensions that are tagged with the Tops
attribute. In the modeled sheet, when you select Tops
from Product Group
column, only Sweaters
and T-Shirts
display in Product
. Likewise, when you select Sweaters
from Product
, the Product Group
defaults to Tops
