Steps: Create Levels
Security:
Organization Structure
permission.Levels are a required dimension for all data and typically represent the organizational structure of your business. You can create levels:
- Manually.
- Using the Level spreadsheet to import bulk changes to your level hierarchy.
- Using a workforce planning configuration manager in Workday Core.
After changing the settings of parent levels, check the settings of all descendant levels for unexpected changes. When you change the settings of parent levels, you automatically change the inherited settings of all descendant levels. You can still change some of those settings back to what they were before.
You can clone levels to copy the settings, shared formulas, and data of another level.
Level changes affect data, data visibility, and flow.
- (Optional) Create level dimensions and attributes.Use level dimensions or attributes to create alternate level hierarchies. Example: You organize your level hierarchy by department, but also want to plan with levels by region.
