Steps: Change Locales on Your Calendar

  • Configure the time structure on your default locale.
  • Security:
    • Model Management Access
       permission.
    • Time
       permission.
    • Configure Calendar
       permission.
A locale is the language for a location and any date, time, or number formatting that's specific to that location. Example: The United States and Great Britain both use English. However, the United States uses Month - Day - Year date formatting and Great Britain uses Day - Month - Year.
Your instance already includes a default locale, and this initial default locale is always set to English. You can add locales and make any of these other locales your default locale, or delete locales. You can also change these labels on your default and nondefault locales:
  • Code
  • Label
  • Short Name
All of your locales must share the same code labels. You can only change the code labels by changing the code labels on your default locale.
If you use a legacy calendar and change anything about your locales, you change your calendar to a custom calendar.
  1. Select
    Modeling
     from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Time
    .
  3. Add and delete locales, or change your default locale.
    As you complete the task, consider:

    New locale
    Adaptive Planning doesn't automatically translate your calendar labels into the language of a newly added locale. You must manually add localized labels for each new locale.
    Delete locale
    You can only delete locales that aren't your default locale.
    Default
    Before you select a new default locale, ensure that you first import labels for that locale.
  4. Import labels for your nondefault locale before you make it your default locale. You can change these labels even if you don't intend to make the locale your default locale.
