Create Assumption Accounts for Modeled Sheets
- Create the modeled sheet columns. See Steps: Build Modeled Sheets.
- Security:Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulaspermission.
Assumption accounts in modeled sheets drive the data in the calculated accounts. Assumptions enable you to enter specific data on the timespan that your calculated accounts can reference. After you create the assumptions, you must also add the data in a special sheet from the sheet summary page.
- From theSheet Summary, clickModeled Accounts.
- From the toolbar, clickCreate New Assumption Account.
- Complete theAccount Detailssection:

- Percent: Displays a percent.
Decimal PlacesIndicate how many places you want to display after the decimal point:- Enter any number between 0-9.
- SelectCurrency's precisionto follow the setting for the currency. You can use the link to review the decimal places for all your currencies.
- Save.
- Use the breadcrumbs to return to theSheet Summarypage.
- ClickAssumptions.All the assumption accounts on the modeled sheet display in the rows.
- Enter the data for the assumptions in the timespan and save the sheet.
You can now reference the assumptions to drive the calculations in the modeled sheet.
