Remove Dimension Value Splits from Standard Sheets

You might have many reasons to remove dimension splits from standard sheets. 1 reason could be that you want to delete a custom dimension value that's in use. Dependencies in the
Standard Data
tab of the View Dependencies
table means that dimension values tag data in standard sheets. You can find the dimension values in the splits of the standard sheets. To delete the dimension value or the dimension, you must first remove the association from the standard sheet, or delete the splits.- Find the standard sheets that have the account.Security:Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulaspermission.
- SelectSheetsfrom the main menu and open the sheet that has the account.
- From the main toolbar, select a version.When you're resolvingStandard Datadependencies for custom dimension values, select the same version indicated in theStandard Datatab.
- From the sheet toolbar, select a level.When you're resolvingStandard Datadependencies for custom dimension values, select the same level indicated in theStandard Datatab.
- Expand the account to display the splits.When you're resolvingStandard Datadependencies for custom dimension values, search for the name of the same account indicated in theStandard Datatab.
- For each row with the dimension value, click any cell in the row.
- From the toolbar, clickDelete Split. Or, to save the data, select a different dimension value for the split.
- Save the sheet.
When you're resolving dependencies, you can continue to resolve the other dependencies. When standard data is the only dependency, you can delete the dimension value. See Resolve View Dependencies to Delete Dimension Values.
