Example: Create Modeled Sheets for CRM Data for Sales Planning
- Create your levels.
- Create your sales representative and geography dimensions, and create their dimension values.
As part of territory planning, use modeled sheets to hold your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data. The benefits of using modeled sheets to store the sales data include:
- You can have more than 5 modeled sheets for the data.
- You can use defined sales regions to map to composites of your sales dimensions.
- Create a blank modeled sheet by selectingBlank modeled sheet (advanced)on theCreate new sheetprompt.
- Add columns.TheLevelcolumn automatically displays in the canvas when you create modeled sheets. You manually drag and drop all other columns from theElementspane onto the center pane to configure other columns.To create a modeled sheet for CRM data for Sales Planning, configure these columns:OptionDescriptionLevelcolumnTo select any child levels, expand the parent levels and manually select the child levels.Columns for your sales rep and geography dimensions.Select all the values for each dimension.Columns for each of the data fields you want to import from your CRM.Configure each column as aNumbercolumn.For theNameof each column, use the mapping key you created to enter the account code you created for that field.Unique identifier columnConfigure a unique identifier column using either aNumberorTextcolumn.For theName, enter the unique identifier for the record associated with the data source.
