Import the TimeStructure Spreadsheet

Import the TimeStructure Spreadsheet

  • Save your changes to the TimeStructure spreadsheet.
  • Security:
    Configure Calendar
     permission.
You can import the spreadsheet to:
  • Change the structure of the calendar. Example: You can add strata, or change the labels of the time dimension.
  • Add alternate calendars. Example: You can create alternate time rollups for viewing on sheets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Extend the time periods of your calendar.
  • Remove time periods.
When preparing an Excel spreadsheet for import, don't leave more than 1 blank row between rows. The import ignores all rows after the 2nd blank row.
  1. Select
    Modeling
     from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Time
    .
  3. From the toolbar, click
    Import calendar
     and
    Yes
     when prompted.
    As you complete the task, consider:
    Opción Descripción
    Update
    Always use to:
    • Change time strata labels, codes, or short names.
    • Add strata or change strata of calendars.
    • Add alternate calendars.
    • Save existing data.
    Append
    Always use to:
    • Extend calendars with additional time periods. Example: Add the days for a new year and map to the time strata.
    • Save existing data.
    Reload
    Always use if you want to change the default strata. Replaces the entire structure and deletes all:
    • Calendars
    • Data
    • Versions
  4. Click
    Choose file
     to find the template and click
    Upload
    .
