FAQ: Why is an account value different on a report from a sheet?
Depending on whether you are viewing account values on sheets or reports, they can be different.
Example: The Net Income account value in the Income Statement sheet is correct. The same account values in the Income Statement report is different and incorrect.
There are various reasons why account values can differ in reports from sheets. Verify that:
- The sheet and the report are displaying data from the same version and level. If the version and level are not already included on the report, click theShow Informationicon to display the version and level details.
- The report isn't filtered for a different currency type. If the currency is not already included on the report, click theShow Informationicon to display the currency detail.
- The account on the sheet and the account on the report are the same account:
- Open the sheet on the correct version and level.
- Right-click a value in the account row and select Explore Cell.
- Make a note of the account code.
- Open the corresponding report.
- Left-click a value in the account row.
- In the Explore Cell window, check for the account code to see if it matches the one on the sheet.
