FAQ: How do I remove rollups from matrix reports?

FAQ: How do I remove rollups from matrix reports?

To remove rollups or totals entirely from a matrix report, you can select
Suppress rollups
in the report properties.
To remove rollups or totals only at the line level, you can drag in the leaf-level child elements to the report rows or columns.
Example:
To display forecasted product units for a given year, you create a matrix report with:
  • Products on the rows
  • Months on the columns
The Product Type dimension includes:
  • Multiple levels
  • Part numbers as the lowest level
When you run this report, a total line displays for each product type level and sums the product units for that level. To run this report without the line-level rollups:
  • Drag in only the specific part numbers at the lowest level of the Product Type dimension.
  • To select a range of part numbers across multiple product types, hold down Control or Shift on your keyboard.
When you use leaf-level elements, any changes in the element hierarchy don't populate the report automatically. Example: If you use part numbers instead of product types, any new product types that become available don't display in the report.
