Concept: Scenarios and Sheets
Scenario versions use base versions as starting points to build what-if scenarios or manage changes to the base version. You can change your base and scenario versions independent of each other and merge them later. You can use either data entry in sheets or Integrations imports to make proposed changes to base version data without affecting the base version. To maintain the integrity of your base version, we disable some sheet actions for scenario versions.
When you select a scenario version on the
Sheets Overview
page, we disable your ability to:
- Search cell notes.
- Search audit trails.
- Update Workflow statuses.
When you edit sheets for scenario versions, we disable your ability to:
- Add, edit, or remove sheet cell notes.
- Add sheet notes.
- Calculate formula values.
- Change your display options to set your sheet view as default for all users.
- Drill into NetSuite, Drill into Transactions, or Drill into Workday.
- Publish the plan.
- Show anomalies in standard sheets.
- Sync levels from sheets.
- Use consolidations functionality.
For standard sheets, you can compare scenario versions with baseline versions or other scenario versions.
