Question
I have a Modeled Sheet that
contains split rows, but one of the columns no longer needs to be split. What will
happen if I uncheck the Split box on the column?Answer
If the Split box on a Modeled Sheet
column is unchecked, the values entered on the split rows in that column will be removed
once the sheet builder is saved. The column will then display a blank value on the
parent row. Values on rows that were not previously split will remain in the column. If
the Split box is then rechecked, the values on the split rows in the column will
reappear. The values in the split rows will remain in the database until that split row
is deleted. The "Allow Splits" setting in the Sheet Properties cannot be unchecked until
all split rows are deleted. Columns that are set as the Row Key cannot be split. This
means if a column is split and is then set to the Row Key, the Split box will
automatically be unchecked. The values entered on the split rows in the Row Key
column will be removed once the sheet builder is saved.
