Add Display Columns to Modeled Sheets
- To add modeled accounts as display columns, create the accounts. See Create Calculated Accounts for Modeled Sheets.
- Security:Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulaspermission.
Display columns are a modeled sheet option. There are these 2 options for display options:
- Read-only values of the calculated account in the modeled sheet.
- Level currency.
- From theSheet Summary, clickColumns and Levels.
- From theElementstab, expandDisplay Columns.
- Drag the accounts orLevel Currencyinto the canvas.When you haven't created calculated accounts, they don't display in the list.
- As you complete theGeneral Properties, consider:
Option Description NameEnter the name as you want it to display on the sheet in the header row.CodeUse any combination of letters, numbers, and underscores. For accounts, the column code can't match the modeled account code.Read onlySelect to prevent users from making changes to the cells in the column (except by import).Show in edit modeSelect when you want users to view the level currency column.Show total at bottomSelect to add a read-only row visible to sheet users. This row sums the data in the column.When both parent and child row splits are visible on the sheet, we only total the parent rows.Allow users to hide columns in Display OptionsSubmit a customer case to enable this option.- Select to enable users to hide the column from their view.
- Clear to prevent sheet users from hiding the columns.
- TheDisplay Propertiessection display only for calculated accounts. As you complete theDisplay Properties, consider:
Option Description Reference Time PeriodSelect the start of the time range to be evaluated for the account value:- First non-actuals time period: Sets the date to the first period after theCompleted values throughsetting in the actuals version.
- Start of Plan: Sets the date to theStart of Plansetting in the plan version.
Start of Rollup RangeDefine where the evaluation should begin relative to the reference month, quarter, or year.Number of Time Periods in Rollup RangeDefines the number of months to roll up starting with the month identified as theStart of Rollup Range.Account DetailsAfter you save the sheet, you can link to the account details.
Display columns are read-only columns in modeled sheets that provide information.
