Change the Display Format of Levels

Adaptive Planning uses the display name as the label that users see anywhere they pick, select, or view a level. By default, we use the name that you enter in the level settings. You can change the display name format to:
  • Code.
  • Name.
  • Name, then Code in brackets.
  • Code, then Name in brackets.
When you change the display name format, we use the level details of your top level to change the display name format of all levels.
We require you to use level codes in dot notation formulas to reference levels. Your display name format doesn't change this requirement.
  1. Go to
    Modeling
    Levels
    .
  2. From the level list, click the top level.
  3. Select the
    Display name format for levels
    .
    We recommend that you only select
    Name
     when these names are unique:
    • Attributes.
    • Custom dimensions.
    • Levels.
    If the names are identical or similar, we recommend that you select any other option.
