Troubleshooting: Forecast Version Still Showing Old Data

You ran a forecast, but when you look at the sheet, you still see the old data, instead of the forecasted data.
Cause
Remedy
The forecast wasn't successful.
Go to
Modeling
>
Predictive Forecaster
to check the status of the latest run:
  • In Queue
means that Adaptive Planning hasn't yet started the forecast. Forecasts run in order, one at a time. A forecast won't start until the forecast that started before it’s complete.
  • In Progress
means that Adaptive Planning is still running the forecast.
  • Failed
means that there were errors that you must correct before running again.
  • A blank status means that you haven't run the forecast yet.
You're looking outside of the defined time period.
  1. Go to
    Modeling
    >
    Predictive Forecaster
    .
  2. From the list, hover over the forecast until the 3 dots display.
  3. Click the 3 dots and select
    View History
    .
  4. Check the start and end periods in the
    Parameters
    section.
You're looking at the wrong version.
  1. Go to
    Modeling
    >
    Predictive Forecaster
    .
  2. Click the name of the forecast.
  3. In the
    Parameters

    Forecast Version
    .
  4. Return to the sheet and select the same version from the version prompt.
