Define Anomaly Thresholds

, standard sheets highlight anomalies that fall outside the 40% thresholds of the data in your prediction version. Building an AIML-THRESHOLD modeled sheet enables you to define the thresholds globally or for each combination of version, level, and account. Example: You can set a threshold of 20%.
The system default for thresholds is 40% for any combination of levels, versions, and accounts. The more specific thresholds you define override more general thresholds. Example: You define 20% as the upper and lower thresholds for all accounts, versions, and levels. You define a 10% threshold for the Salary account. The 10% threshold applies to all versions and levels for the Salary account, overriding the 20% defined in the previous row of the sheet.
When you add a row defining a combination of levels, versions, and accounts that has already been defined, the machine uses the latest definition, or the one closest to the bottom of the sheet. When you leave a cell blank in a row, the machine ignores the entire row.
  1. Select
    Modeling
    from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Level Assigned Sheets
    .
  3. Click
    New Sheet
    .
  4. As you complete the form, consider:
    Option Description
    Name
    In all caps, enter exactly:
    AIML-THRESHOLD
    .
    Create new sheet
    Select
    Modeled and Blank modeled sheet (advanced)
    .
    Sheet code
    Enter any code.
  5. Click
    Next
    .
  6. Click
    Column and Levels
     from the sheet summary.
  7. Select the
    Levels
     column already in the canvas.
  8. In the settings, click the check box of only 1 leaf level, which is a level that has no child levels.
    Do not select any other levels.
    This is the level you're assigning the sheet to.
  9. From the
    Elements
     tab, expand
    Data Entry Columns
    .
  10. Drag and drop
    Text
     into the canvas 3 times separate times.
  11. For the
    Name
     and
    Code
     of each
    Text
     element, enter
    ad_version
     for the first 1,
    ad_level
     for the second 1, and
    ad_account
     for the last 1.
  12. Drag and drop
    Number
     into the canvas 2 times.
  13. For the settings of each
    Number
     element, consider:
    Option Description
    Name
    Enter
    Upper
     for 1 of the
    Number
     elements, and
    Lower
     for the other.
    Code
    Enter
    upper
     for 1 of the
    Number
     elements, and
    lower
     for the other.
    Display As
    Select
    Number
     for both.
    Decimal Places
    Select
    0
     for both.
  14. Click
    Save
    .
  15. Select
    Sheets
     from the main menu.
  16. From the
    Levels
     prompt, select the leaf level you added to the sheet.
  17. From the version prompt, select your default version.
    Your default version is bold.
  18. To open the sheet, click AIML-THRESHOLD.
  19. From the sheet toolbar, click the
    Add Row
     button.
  20. In the
    ad_level
    ,
    ad_account
    , and
    ad_version
     columns, enter
    All
     or the exact codes of the levels and accounts, and the exact name of versions. Entering a specific version, a specific level, and All for accounts defines the threshold for all accounts in that level and version.
    Example: Entering
    All
     in all columns defines the same threshold for all accounts, levels, and versions.
    Capitalize and spell correctly because the machine ignores the names and codes it can't recognize.
  21. In the
    Upper
     and
    Lower
     columns, enter a whole number.
    Example: Entering
    10
     in
    Upper
     defines the threshold as any value that is more than 10% greater than the prediction.
