Troubleshooting: Actuals Overlay Not Showing for Accounts

Actuals overlay displays with green text on sheets. Sometimes accounts don't display actuals because:
  • You didn't enable actuals for the accounts.
  • The accounts don't have actuals data.
  • Version settings need adjusting.
Cause
Solution
You didn't enable actuals for the account.
  1. Select
    Modeling
     from the main menu.
  2. Click the account hierarchy, or edit the sheet for cube and modeled accounts.
  3. From the account list, select the account.
  4. In the
    Account Details
     section, click the
    Enable Actuals
     radio button.
The accounts don't have actuals data.
  1. Select
    Sheets
     from the main menu.
  2. Open a sheet that has the account.
  3. From the drop-down prompt in the top navigation bar, select your actuals version.
  4. Check the row with the account to see if there's data.
  5. Enter data and save.
  6. Return to the plan version and check if the actuals data displays in green.
Version settings need adjusting.
You might looking at a time period that doesn't display actuals overlay. Actuals overlay displays in the periods between the
Left scroll limit
 of the plan version and whichever period is earlier:
  • Start of plan
     in the plan version.
  • Completed values through
     in the actuals version.
  1. Select
    Modeling
     from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Versions
    .
  3. From the version list, select the plan version that isn't displaying actuals overlay for the account.
  4. Take note of the
    Start of plan
    .
  5. From the version list, select actuals.
  6. Take note of the
    Completed values through
     period.
  7. Change the period that's earlier to include the period in sheets that's not displaying actuals.
