Troubleshooting: Accounts Missing in Sheets

You added the account to the sheet, but when your end users open the sheet, they can't find the account anywhere. Here's what you can check in the
Modeling
area.
To learn how to troubleshoot from the sheet view in the
Sheets
area, see Troubleshooting: Can't Find Account on Sheet.
  • You have sub-level customizations.
  • You have cube restrictions.
  • You haven't added the account to the sheet.
Cause
Solution
You have sub-level customizations on a standard sheet.
Sub-level customizations are for standard sheets only and make accounts visible only on certain levels. To change the sub-levels:
  1. Select
    Modeling
    from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Level Assigned Sheets
    or
    User Assigned Sheets
    .
  3. Click
    Edit
next to the standard sheet that you want to change.
  4. Click
    Customization for Sub-Levels
    .
  5. From the
    Accounts
    tab, highlight the account.
  6. From the
    Levels
tab, click the check boxes until a checkmark displays next to the levels.
  7. Click
    Save and Close
    .
You have cube restrictions on a cube sheet.
Cube restrictions are for cube sheets only and they hide the intersections of accounts and versions, accounts and levels, and accounts and custom dimensions. Any of these restrictions might be preventing the account from displaying.
  1. Select
    Modeling
    from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Level Assigned Sheets
    or
    User Assigned Sheets
    .
  3. Click
    Edit
    next to the cube sheet.
  4. Click
    Restrictions
    .
  5. From the list of restrictions, click
    Edit
    or
    Delete
    next to the restrictions.
You didn't add a new account to the standard sheet.
We automatically add new accounts to standard sheets when you created the new account as a rollup to a:
  • Group that already exists on the sheet.
  • Parent that already exists on a sheet.
To add the account:
  1. Select
    Modeling
    from the main menu.
  2. Click
    Level Assigned Sheets
    or
    User Assigned Sheets
    .
  3. From the sheet list, click
    Edit
    next to the standard sheet.
  4. From the
    Sheet Summary
    , click
    Account Groups
    .
  5. Highlight the account and click
    Add to Group
    .
  6. Save.
