Steps: Set Up Cloud Data Connect Data Sources
- An Incorta, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
- Authentication and authorization details for the environment you want to connect to.
- Access to an administrator who can create views in the environment.
- Security:
- Model Management Accesspermission.
- Integration Operatorpermission.
- Data Designerpermission.
Set up a Cloud Data Connect data source so that you can use data from your cloud data warehouse in Adaptive Planning.
- Complete theSettingssection for your new cloud data source:
Option Description CredentialSelect the relevant credential for connecting to your data warehouse.For all connectors, we support usernames and passwords for authentication. Additionally:- For Microsoft Fabric, we support Application ID and Client Secret.
- For Snowflake, we support:
- OAuth 2. See Set up Cloud Data Connect Snowflake OAuth2 Credentials.
- Personal Access Tokens as passwords.
Log LevelSelect how much detail that you want to include in any logs:- Error: Only errors.
- Info: Only basic information. Example: Log when the data source was updated.
- Verbose: Detailed information about all phases and actions.
KindSelect the relevant data warehouse source to connect with.Connection DetailsIncorta:- Hostname: Enter the Incorta environment link.
- Port: Enter the port number for the Incorta environment.
- Database: Enter the warehouse name containing relevant tables from your environment.
- Tablename: Enter the Schema.Tablename
Microsoft Fabric:- Hostname: Enter the Fabric environment link.
- Database: Enter the warehouse name containing relevant tables from your environment.
- Tablename: Enter the Schema.Tablename
Snowflake:- Account: Enter the Snowflake environment account identifier.
- Database: Enter the warehouse name containing relevant tables from your environment.
- Tablename: Enter the Schema.Tablename
- (Optional) SelectTest Connectionto test the connection to your cloud data warehouse environment using the details defined for this cloud data source.
- From theActionssection, selectSave.
- From theActionssection, selectImport structure.When you import your structure, Adaptive Planning automatically populates theData Componentssection with all the data tables and data columns that you can import. Slashes through the icon indicate that the columns aren't in the staging tables.
- Configure the staging tables and columns of data that you want to import using this data source.
- From theActionssection, selectImport data.
- (Optional) From theActionssection, clear the staging tables.
Create or use a loader.
