Run and Schedule CDC Pipeline Tasks
Existing Pipelines created and connected.
- Model Management Access permission.
- Integration Operator permission.
When you connect a pipeline, you can automatically get CDC Pipeline Tasks. These tasks allow you to effortlessly import data from a configured source table in a cloud warehouse and send it directly to your desired destination. This enables you to keep your data fresh and synchronized with minimal effort.
You can schedule these tasks to run automatically, or run them on-demand as needed, giving you full control over your data flow.
- Select from the main menu.
- SelectTasks.
- Select the relevant task from the list.Pipeline tasks are auto-named asPipeline name_IntegrationTask.
- The Pipeline task opens on anInfo & Schedulestab.
- To run the task on-demand, clickRunTask.
- Select the requiredPeriod Range.
- Select the requiredActuals Version.
- ClickRun.
- To create a schedule, clickAdd Schedule.
- Complete theAdd a Schedulefields:OptionDescriptionNameEnter a name for your schedule.FrequencySelect a frequency.

- Weekly
- Monthly
Day of WeekAvailable when you selectWeeklyfor Frequency. You can select more than 1 day.Day of MonthAvailable when you selectMonthlyfor Frequency. The default value is 1.TimeSelect the time to run the task.Time ZoneSelect the time zone of the time to run the task.Schedule StatusSelect theActivecheck box to run the task on the defined schedule. Clear theActivecheck box to make the schedule inactive and stop the task from running. - ClickAdd.A pipeline task can have up to 5 schedules.
When you run a CDC Pipeline Task, Workday imports data from your configured source table to your desired destination, keeping your data fresh and synchronized. When you schedule a task, Workday automatically runs the task at the defined frequency.
To view the historical runs of a task, select the
Recent Runs
tab. Select a specific run to view its details.
