Add Reports on Dashboards
- You can add only those reports that can run as HTML. If you add a report that was saved to run as Excel, then it will run as HTML in a dashboard. You can't add repeating reports because they can't run as HTML.
- Security:
- Access Dashboards > Edit Dashboardspermission.
- Access Reportspermission.
As a dashboard creator, you can add existing, shared matrix reports on a dashboard to view it alongside related charts and sheets. When you share this dashboard with users, they see:
- The data to which they have access.
- An error message if they don't have access to the report.
The reports that you add on a dashboard have fewer elements as compared to the regular reports. Hence, the data might not match between the two.
- SelectDashboardsfrom the main menu.
- ClickEditto put your dashboard in edit mode.
- Click theChartstab to select a chart.
- Drag and dropReportto the design area.
- From theAppearance Settingstab, name the report. This only names the container for the report and doesn't change the report name.
- From theData Settingstab, select a report.
- (Optional). From theData Settingstab, select the parameters that you want to sync between the dashboard and reports.
- (Optional). To access the standalone live report outside the dashboard, use theFind Reportoption on the dashboard. You can then edit and save the report or take other actions such as share and send notifications.
