You can include many element types, such as levels, dimensions, or dimension attributes as part of the filter criteria. Each filter selection included in the filter criteria expands the results returned.
You set up default filters on a chart by editing the data series in the
Accounts
settings on the
Data Settings
tab.
  1. Select
    Dashboards
    from the main menu.
  2. Open a perspective and click
    Edit
    .
  3. Click a chart.
  4. Select
    Data Settings
    .
  5. Expand an acount.
  6. Click
    Filter
    .
  7. Browse or search the elements and select filters.
The selection panel displays filter selections at the top.
If you have many data series in a chart, you can set the same filter on each account to visualize like sets of data.
Example
If you visualize sales from two data series and want to see only Canada sales for both, create a filter on each data series using the same filter criteria. Change the filter settings for Laptop Sales and for Desktop Sales to visualize only Canada revenue in a pie chart.
