Add Perspective Context Filters

Add Perspective Context Filters

  • Edit access to a personal or shared perspective.
  • Security:
    • Access Dashboards
       permission.
    • Edit Dashboards
       permission.
Perspective context filters display in the toolbar and apply to all charts and dashboards in a perspective. You can use dimensions, attributes, or their dimension or attribute members to create new perspective context filters.
  1. Select
    Dashboards
     from the main menu.
  2. Open a perspective.
  3. From the toolbar, click
    Edit
    .
  4. Select the perspective name in the toolbar.
  5. From the
    Data Settings
     tab, click
    Context
    .
  6. Select a
    Level Attributes
    ,
    Dimensions
    ,
    Dimension Attributes
    , or
    Dashboard Dimensions
     and select a filter to add.
  7. Click the added context filter in
    Data Settings
     to change the default filter value.
A production manager responsible for a specific product can add a context filter on the Product dimension with the product they manage as the default value. All charts in the perspective display data for the relevant product line.
