Add Number Columns to Modeled Sheets

Number
columns enable users to enter data into cells of modeled sheets. Unlike Text
columns where users can enter number or words, Number
columns limit users to entering numerical data.- From theSheet Summery, clickColumns and Levels.
- From theElementstab, expandData Entry Columns.
- DragNumberinto the center panel.
- Select theNumberpanel.
- As you complete theGeneral Properties, consider:
Option Bezeichnung NameEnter a name for the check box column. The name displays as the column header. See .CodeEnter a unique code for the column. You can reference the code in formulas to drive data.Read onlySelect to prevent users from making changes to the cells in the column (except by import).Show total at bottomSelect to add a read-only row visible to sheet users. This row sums the data in the column.When both parent and child row splits are visible on the sheet, we only total the parent rows.SplitOnly displays when you have enabled splits in theSheet Properties. See Change Sheet Properties of Modeled Sheets.Enables users to split the rows and enter different values for the columns.Use caution when you enable splits for columns in sheets that already have data. You might remove the existing data for the rows that have been split by other columns.Allow users to hide columns in Display OptionsSubmit a customer case to enable this option.- Select to enable users to hide the column from their view.
- Clear to prevent sheet users from hiding the columns.
- As you complete theNumber Propertiessection, consider:
Option Bezeichnung Display AsSelect:- Currency: Converts to the currency of the level. Select when your model converts currencies at different levels. Otherwise, the rollups of the account display the total of the first child account instead of the total of all child accounts.
- Number: Displays a numerical value.
- Percent: Displays a percent.
Decimal PlacesIndicate the number of decimal places for the numerical data. Select:- Any number 0-9 from the prompt.
- Currency's precisionto follow the setting for the currency.
The column displays on the modeled sheet. Users can enter numbers only in the cells.
