Add General Ledger and Custom Accounts to Cube Sheets

  • Create the general ledger or custom accounts. See Create Accounts.
  • In the settings of the general ledger or custom account, select
    Cube
    for
    Data Entry Sheet Type
    .
  • Security:
    Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulas
    permission.
Cube-entered accounts are accounts from the general ledger or the custom account lists that you can add to cube sheets for data entry or visibility. With cube-entered accounts, you can plan with custom dimensions and attributes on cube sheets for data that must also be in the general ledger.
  1. From the sheet summary, select
    Cube Accounts
    .
  2. From the toolbar, click the
    Include GL or Custom Accounts
    button.
  3. From the list, click the account you want to add to the cube sheet.
    The list includes all the available accounts that are set as cube-entered and are not already on a cube sheet.
  4. From the settings, you can:
    • Add links to the account, apply dimensions to the link, and filter the links. See Steps: Link Modeled or Cube Sheet Data to Another Account.
    • Add default formulas and version-specific overrides. See Add or Change Account Formulas and Overrides.
    • Select the
      Decimal Places
      to display.
    • Select the
      Exchange Rate
      .
    For other settings, you must go to the general ledger account or custom account list.
The account displays in the cube account list and on the cube sheet. Your team can enter data into this account from the cube sheet.
